David brings a broad range of skills and experience, including special interests in skin cancer medicine, mental health, asthma, aged care, paediatrics and emergency medicine. He worked as a rural GP on the North Coast for many years, and enjoys making long-term relationships with patients and their families. David also attends two nursing homes in the area.
David is proud to be regularly involved with the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine (ACRRM) where he assists in the training and examination of trainee doctors in preparation for remote practice. He is also an expert reviewer for the Australian Journal of General Practice.
David has served as a Reserve RAAF doctor and deployed several times overseas, being decorated for bravery in 2004 after his rescue helicopter crashed in bad weather. He lives locally and is a proud father. In his spare time, David trains and teaches Self Defence at Mosman Martial Arts Academy.
